What is this? 90 Integra trunk vent?

Yep,.it is actually for all the doors...if you we're to see it wen you close a door...it flaps open to help them close smoother....although...Teg Doors sound like **** when you close em...wish it helped that!

most likely that has nothing to do with your leak.... there isn't really a good way for water to get from the outside to the inside thru that went.
Check your taillight gaskets. Also, does your car have a sunroof? If so check the sunroof drain tube. Its on the side of the car that you already removed the panel to get access to that vent. Just move forward and up the c-pillar and check along the tube to make sure it didn't become disconnected somewhere.

The seal around the vent is leaking a cup of water into the trunk after each rainfall, so I'm going to re-seal it with silicone. Water enters thru the gap between the bumber and body panel. The tail-light gaskets and sunroof drain tubes were also leaking which I already repaired.
