having trouble starting....
got a problem here... i'm not real sure of what i would do a search for so i thought i'd see what you guys had to say.it takes about 3-4 seconds for my car to start. the starter makes noise but isnt turning the engine "i think".... i just got new 10.3mm wires, ngk plat. plugs, new battery and starter. it still hesitates to start. my mechanic doesn't even know what to say... once i tried starting it and rpm's went up to 1,500 and suddenly killed (did this twice but not at the same time). i also noticed i am running a lil rich but i doubt that has anything to do w/ it. could it be my coil or distributor? i got about 95,000 miles. oh yea its a '95 si.
the battery has solid connection too.
and sometimes it wont even start on the first try

no i havent, i wasnt real sure if they were the problem. acceleration is still good. doesnt seem to be missing either. but i guess i should change them anyway. i was looking at the msd distributor cap and blaster coil. if that doesnt fix it who knows....
stick with OEM plugs, wires, distributor, coil, ignition.....you dont need aftermarket ignition stuff.....you'll see a lot of build honda's and acura's using stock ignition stuff.
thats just my .02

yah anyone got insights on that?? i got the same problem, sometimes it takes even up to 5 seconds and it makes noise, usually happens when the car is cold but today happend in the middle of the day
Hondas have lots of problems with their distributors or so I have heard. I had a similar problem and it was due to a loose connection to the igniter in the distributor. Engine vibration caused it.
