i would search but i have no idea on what to search for.. im having a problem with my car i dont know if its a problem or im messing with myslef.. while im driving normally, not hard on the throttle or anything like that. it seems that my car slows down on its own like i have a **** load if back pressure (almost like a jake brake) or something of the sorts. anywho i did put a silencer in my exhuast, i had it in awhile back but it didnt slow my car down

so did it stop with the silencer on ? .... what size is the pipe on the exhaust and are you using a test pipe on a non turbo car?

 

if you want to get rid of the backpressure, you can do three things: get header, exhuast piping, exhaust muffler. If you already have them, go for something that has bigger diameter

 

i'm pretty sure its your silencer. i get a little back pressure from mine.

 

yeah , with a a silencer and no header , it can do that like ur downshifting sort of .....
