im starting to realize that is a good option as well

most people with built bottom ends usually get tired of the setup and do something else

or a part on their engine breaks and fugs up the whole motor

i got a weird one for ya, 11 months, 3000 miles (i change alot of parts).

 

If ARP head studs count as built, then I'm everybody's daddy - 13 months and 16,000 miles.

 

I had 4 months and 5k miles until it blew up. Ohh wait, mine was a stock b18c and I wanted to blow it up lol.

Coming up on 18 months with my motor, 9.5k miles daily driven.
Only a headgasket along the way.

 

17,000 miles, 9 months. Stock sleeves. Runs great though even in winter at -20 F.

 

goin on 5 months and over 10k miles. built bottom end (b16) stock sleeves, stock bore, daily driven hard at 12psi. puttin down good numbers on the dyno, waitin for the tracks to open up!

 

Almost on year, 15K miles, consistant 20psi on a built D16 making 350Whp.
oh yeah and daily beaten on The only thing i cannot keep together is trannies.

That is alot of driving! and also part of the reason i own 2 cars! That almost the kind of driving i do!

well my motor is being assembled and hopefully it will last! lol

 

A year and a half 18,000 miles and still running strong.

 

HAH, I put 40K miles on my car last year...I guess I'd better tone it down before I bolt on my turbo kit this month!

 

3 years, 30-40k miles... dunno if its still running cause it got stolen
