Default What else swaps in besides a H22?

I've been doing a bit of searching and am trying to find something that swaps into a 98 Accord in place of the f23a1....I did find that a f20b..180HP would bolt in...I think...? But they are close the price of the H22....what else can I look for?

is the f23a1 blown?? i would turbo it if it's in good shape. a legal 6th gen swap is going to cost alot since you would need a 98-01 USDM H22.

No, it runs fine....I just like swaping engines....Turbo might not be a bad idea. I'm not quite sure why I didn't consider it. I think in the long run it would be cheaper too. I've done a bit more searching and came up with a few engines that I THINK will fit:
H22a
F20b
F20c
H23
and someone emailed me that there is a JDM f23....I'm going to call him later for more info on that one....I also read that ay "H" will bolt up to and "F" tranny. That could save a few bucks!

if your going all-motor then you want an H22. the f20b has same hp as the h22, but less trq and a 6th gen is heavier than the 90-97 accords so you need al the torque you can get.

If I was going to swap, I would like to spend the least amount of $$$ I could. I'm NOT looking to run in the 10's or 11's, I just miss having grease underneath my fingernails...so at first, I'd like to go with a longbloch, then look for a tranny. By the way, it's an auto....if that makes a difference in helping me choose an engine..Thanks.

If you are going to swap the engine, swap the tranny also. Like someone said earlier, the gear ratios will be all diff., to build an auto up can cost much more than a good manual. Manuals are more fun anyways, right? Also, 10s and 11s could be next to impossible to run w/ a stock automatic, you would grind it out before you put your power to the ground, which I understand isn't a good thing.

Not to sound like a dick... but your talking about doing things the least expensive to run 10s. You might want to look at your car again and then think about the 1000s ontop of 1000s of dollars it would take for it to see 10s... i mean even in a lil civic it takes a good amount of money to hit 10s.

uhh, I dont think that the 10 second 1/4 mile times will be in your future unless you have a dedicated drag car (not saying that it cant be done, but im saying that you doesnt sound like the most likely person to do it)...10 sec FWD and reliable isnt cheap...especially not without it being stripped

Right the f20C is for the s2k...but how did that come up? and whats an s200?

He was reffering to the f20B which is a 2.0L dohc vtec 92+accord siR.

I would swap for the h23 and boost it. The f22's are very well built blocks (damn near indestructable).

EDIT! EDIT! I did not mean to say I wanted to run 10's or 11's....MISPRINT! I wanted to say "I DON"T want to run 10's or 11's" sometimes my fingers can't keep up with my brain and I skip words I meant to type. Bottom line is that I just want to do a swap. I find it hard to drive around in an stock car. You all are members so you know what I mean. Sorry if I said I wanted to run 10's in an Accord.....from now on I'm going to proof-read threads before I hit "post"

If you just want to do a swap then i would say go with an H22 and keep it reliable. It would be a lot easier to pass emissions in your state with that rather than a turbo if you have to get it tested.

That is the nice thing about Florida...we don't have checks here...yet. H22 would be a nice upgrade....would power steering and A/C items bolt up or would I need Hasport items?
