it depends who does it and what programs get used ... if I did it for you, yes you will because I get a lil more aggressive on the ignition timing curve. Honda was very conservative on the stock timing curves, I'm not.

Hey greg im from woodbridge too, I drive a 01 black gsr. I hear you can program computers to any spec. I wanted to get a p28 chipped to the skunk program and i wanted to have a 8200rpm redline. Is it possible for you to do this. Please drop me an email back. Thanks

Greg,

How much to chip a P28 with a program suitable for Toda Bs? I'm interested. We can take this to e-mail if you would prefer. Thanks.

A Type R program on your motor would not help you at all aocnsidereing your motor has a dual-butterfly on the intake manifold.

Unless you get a Type R-style Skunk2 manifold, you'd actually be hurting your power ouput because your secondaries would not be opeming up.

The P28 will NOT run a GS-R motor's secondary butterfly.

I think it's better to think of a chip as the icing on the cake. Go bake some cake first

hey guys, check your emails ... I took it offline.

As for the other gentlemen, yes generally the ecu upgrade is the last mod, however if you know the scope of the plan for your motor build up it can be done anytime based on tried/proven fact. I generally ask for a list of mods or proposed/future mods anyway, so based on that I can determine the ecu upgrade. Any "good" ecu reprogrammer knows that, if they are not asking you those questions then make your own judgement whether you want to use them or not.

if you have a GSr and you're running with the stock intake manifold then P72 ecu is the only one you can run with, without loosing the bottom end power

but if skunk2 intake manifold is used then P30, p61, p28, p28, p91 can be used with a good chip/program

if interested i have a P30 with a mugen or spoon program for sale $210 (shipped)
or
P08 chipped with Mugen program (jdm equvalent of p28 but in small case) for $160 shipped...

mugen program doesn;t control the secondaries...5.7k vtec and 8.8k rev limit....max igintion and very rich fuel wise...made 10hp on my b16a

spoon is 5.8k vtec and 8.5k rev limit, more close to stock P30 JDM program, but some improvements...
