FINALLY, THE WAIT IS OVER
well, today I purchased a 2000 PY ITR. I didnt get to pick it up b/c it was sunday and it couldnt be insured and they couldnt check the credit. There was also a tiny scratch so they will be repainting the entire front bumper before I pick it up. The dealership said it should be ready wed. or thurs... Just thought I share with you all that im part of the family now.

thanks everyone. I am going to try to baby this car as much as I can. I guess I got to go shopping for a beater car now. oh well, well worth the 3 1/2 year wait... Gonna be garaged all the time and with like 20 different types of safety gadjets... but still exposed to dangerous NYC. Hope to see people around.

wow man.. how did you get that kind price from a stealership? That's a good price for a private party, let alone a dealership, did you know some guys or something? Have fun

Congrats.
I just bought a 00 PY ITR (13k miles) also, pick it up in 1 week from a dealer. 1st owner just traded it in so they have to "honda certify" it before we take delivery.

I kept haggling the sales persong. I printed out the KBB book value of the car. the guy kept throwing in that he could sell the car for 19-20 grand and had offers coming in like crazy. I told him i would put 9 grand in cash if he will give it to me for 17k and he agreed.

Yea, I had a GSR with a pretty good suspension setup. I'm hoping this car will still out perform my GSR. BTW, Anyone know what type of exhaust opie has on his car. I heard it like 2 weeks ago and it was quiet but very loud in vtec. was it stock? loved how that car sounded.

yea, but it still hasnt been washed. if you look at it in person you see the bumper is much cleaner and everything else is pretty dirty. cant tell in person. I think the flash makes it more noticible. besides, the paint is faded a little but not by much. oh well, guess i have to live with it. I planned on doing a jdm conv like my gsr anyways.
