Those dingleberries! The Mid-Ohio event is the same weekend as the National Tour in Peru and the CART Race in Cleveland. Uggghhhhhh!!!!!!
Woohoo! We get Sebring and Miami in a two week period. The history of the street race is pretty interesting, the Banana Republic of Miami-Dade County went apeshit when Panoz decided to bring racing back here. They put a ton of money into Homestead and nobody goes there except to watch Nascar.

WDC Jul '02 ALMS race website is http://www.nationalgrandprix.com . IMHO the fact that it will be run on a temporary street circuit around RFK Stadium
will make it very interesting for sure - I can't wait!
As for VIR in Oct '02, I'm curious to know who SVWC will be "buddying up" with, as Motorola Cup did with NASA in Sept '00 at VIR. You know- it would be really cool to sublease a portion of the weekend for a Honda Challenge race or a NASA mini-enduro or something.
As for Miami, it's great to see the street circuit being resurrected. I was lucky enough to attend an IMSA race there in '88 or '89 (whenever Geoff Brabham and Nissan were kicking serious *** with the first blue/white/red Prototype car). It sticks out in my mind as one of the neatest events I've ever been to, even though I was just a punk teenager at the time. Somewhere in a box I've got about a billion pictures of it... aahhh, memories!
