Default What tires should I buy to replace my RE010's?

Well, the RE010's are balled again. I'm kind of getting sick of spending $160 a tire every 15,000 miles. I was wondering what you guys would recommend for a replacement tire. I drive high miles on my R, about 3000 a month, but I like the stiff sidewall of the RE010. I have the stock wheels. Any advice would help. Thanks-

A lot of people seem to like the 730. I dunno. I replaced mine with 910's, and the ride changed a lot. The sidewall isn't as stiff, and it doesn't grip nearly as well, but it will last probably 40,000 miles if not more.

Hrmm... I'm looking at these Kumho ECSTA Supra 712's here, and they seem to have the same specs with better treadwear, but at 1/3 of the price of the RE010's. What do you guys think of these tires?

I have the Kumhos - great tire for the price. The sidewall is a bit soft but increased psi has helped that a bit. Superb in the rain.

Lots of people on the board are raving about the Falken Azenis. I think the price of these are pretty good as well...

This is what I do.
1. Stock rims + RE010 for track days
2. Mazda Millenia + Kumho 205/50/15 712's for daily driving

I know I should have the rims and tires switched, but haven't worn out the RE010's on the stock rims yet. You can't beat 712's in value and great wet traction when it pours.

If money is no issue, I would love to try out Bridgestone Pole Position S-03.
(I've had P-zero assym also, which are great tires.)

What do you mean by better treadwear? If you mean a higher treadwear rating, it generally means worse performance, but longer treadlife. I think most of us would rather have al lower treadwear rating.
