VTEC Doesnt kick like it should?

Default VTEC Doesnt kick like it should?

I have recently swapped in a jdm h22 in my lude and i am running a chipped p28 and my h23 throttle body and distributor. and i have tried a chipped p72 and chipped p13 and when i hit vtec in those ecus it sound like rev limiter and doesnt rev any more? and when i use the p28 i open my butterflies with the little vacuum trick and when i used the p13 and p72 i let the butterflies open when the ecu told it to. please help!?

U NEED THE H22 DISTRUBUTOR FOR ONE THE TIMING SPECS IN IT WANT MATCH THE H22 HEAD PRESSURE AND WILL CAUSE THE THE CAMS TO SLOWY CHANGE INSTEAD OF THEM JUST FLIPPING UP QUICK

That isnt true. I have an h23 distributor on my jdm h22. The USDM h22 and the h23 use the same distributor, the jdm is a bit different...but the h23 will work. As for your, check your vtec solenoid...it may be bad or the screen may be clogged up. If you had an h23 before and then swapped the h22, check your wiring for vtec. On the pressure switch there are 2 wires...one wire goes to the ecu and the other is to be grounded off to the body. If there isnt a good ground there, VTEC may not engage. Just a thought!
