Another year for BAR
Congratulations B.A.R Honda on your 6th place finish.
C'mon Villeneuve', you kicked **** before, lets see that hunger and skill come back, Button cant do all the work himself. Your providing the hope Button, keep racing hard.
I hope Honda breaks into the top 4 this year, lucky to just scrape the top 5 last.
Im looking forward to another year of Grand Prix.

JV isn't even on BAR's team anymore.
Takuma Sato is the other driver with Button.

Part of the reason they are doing better is because JV is gone. Not only did he have the second highest salary in Formula 1 (which was money that could have been spent on development) but he had one of the poorest attitudes in the paddock. I for one, am glad to see him gone so now BAR Honda can move forward.

I have to say that the BAR Honda looked really good during qualifying and in the race. I think they are way ahead of where they were last year and I'm betting they battle for some podium finishes soon.

I don't get speed, so I didnt see the GP, but I believe "dont walk" is just a silly thing they put on the car for the preseason. If you look at all the pre season car photos, they have different little sayings in place of sponsor logos.

I would say Jenson Button is the best young talent next to Fernando Alonso, BAR is lucky to have him. As for Villeneuve, I'm glad to see him gone too, he's a has been...
The season's over -- Michael win his 7th championship. They dominated Australia.
Nobody will catch the Ferrari's, unless they make more changes to the rules.
I for one miss Jacques in F1, no more characters in F1 just corporate sponsored drivers who will not be able to voice their own opinions.

I really hope you don't believe that. His salary was paid straight from British-American Tobacco and was not included in the money that went to the team. I can't say if that money found it's way to the team now that he is gone, but David Richards used that as an excuse just to get rid of him. I don't feel he is a has-been, I am glad to see Takuma in the team, and Button as well, B.A.R just needed a change, but JV definitely should still be in F1.
Sato is going to show the world that he does deserve his place in F1 and is not there as Honda's swansong. This guy has loads of talent, he didn't even start to drive competitively until he was 18 years old, whereas everyone else pretty much on the grid started before they were in grade school. He is a very fast driver, I will admit he at times can get a little wild, but just give him some more time and the world should eat a shitload of crow for bashing him. Afterall, his championship year in F3, he won 11 of the 12 rounds, also won the Marlboro Masters, all the top drivers in F3 and then the same year he won the Macau GP, again all the top talent in F3 on a really hairy course. Alot of people rate Massa as a future superstar, that guy has more offs then Sato does, in fact he lost his 9th spot to Sato for an off-track excursion yesterday. It is like everything Japanese, the world press doesn't want to give Japan any applause, unless of course it is a lapped a few times Toyota (the new up and coming team, WHATEVER!!!)

In some countries advertisements for tobacco products is not ok. This means the the teams with tobacco product sponsors can't not have that company's name on the car for that event. Most try to come up with something that resembles the sponsor logo (brand identity) and go with that. If you look close the little circles that look like the lucky strike logo say "look left" and "look right."

for real.. i mean, by the end of the race he had basically lapped up to JPM.. and his teammate was only, what, 20 seconds behind him.. he basically just cruised through the last 5 laps..

I wouldn't give up so easily. Racing is always about the unexpected. Last year, Schummy did win, but it did get close for awhile.
I hope Sato shows the world what he's capable of and that Honda can consistently finish races and place in the top 8. Its just stepping stones, they gotta take it one step at a time, but I won't complain if we get a few nice surprises, like a podium.

Maybe, but my gut tells me this may be like the 2002 season, I'll hold out until 2 weeks from now in Sepang and see. The weather will be warmer so the Michelins should do better the bridgestones. like you said "racing is always about the unexpected."
I hope Jacques is able to come back to F1, we need people like him in the series.
Maybe Williams will kick out JPM in couple of races and give the seat to him
