Is .020 too much?
Im doing CTR cams with ITR springs and retainers. I went to the shop thats going to be doing my head work, becuase I also plannin on milling the head and a little port and polish. I wanted to be running 11.1 CR and the guy said I would have to mill my head about .020 to get 11.1 CR. He said I "should" be ok with valve clearence, but I want to know for sure.
Anyone with experience know if I will be good for vlave clearence and have nothing to worry about?
Thanks
Matt

i am miloling my LS head .030"
i dont see any reason why it would be bad
i might have to get my pistons worked but i doubt it and i will have a slight problem with cam timing until i go to a dyno

you should be fine. i've done an Lsvtec with the head milled to the limit and its doing fine. it has stock b16 cams but higher compression pistons. i wouldn't recommend milling the head to the limit. if you want to bring up compression try using aftermarket pistons. some companies will notch the valve relief lower for added piston to valve clearance with bigger cams.
