Default Question...Energy Suspension Motor Mounts...Why couldnt i get them in????

I just tried to install a set of energy suspension motor mount inserts. I couldnt get those things in. They didnt even seem to fit...no where in the instructions did it say that you had to have them pressed in. after i got so frustrated i just decided to cut and paste them in which also failed. now i have a set of broken ES mounts and a worn out back. Has anyone else put these on and please tell me of your experience. Was i doing something wrong??

First off if you drive an EP then most likely you bought DC5 MMs because they r the same thing. If you have an RSX I dont know where you went wrong - maybe from switching up the front and the back. I got my MMs in, in about 2 hours - front and back. You should send some pics to show what your MMs look like maybe they were the wrong ones.

Yes, showing pictures would do help. Also, what's the part# that you have for the inserts?

I have an RSX type s. ENS-16-1110 Energy Suspension Engine Mount Bushings • Red this is the code off the receipt.

I have had warranty work done on my motor mounts and i think they had to replace 2 of them, mabey they used different motor mounts. It only seems that the bottom of the mount didnt have slots to fit the insert into. The top was open and the bottom was complete rubber with no holes or slits.

Ok, that's the right part#. Those are the same ones I'm using. If it's the rear mount that you're talking about, I think that there's a thin rubber piece that has to be pealed off. This is stated as step #5 in the motor mount insert write up found here:

Im talking about the transmission mount in the front. Im going to look at other Rsx's and see if they have the same mount in the front as mine...if they dont then acura put on a different mount when they replaced them.

Transmission mount? The Energy Suspension motor mount inserts are only for the front and rear mounts. The side mounts don't get touched.
