1989 Legend code 4

ok so my buds 1989 Legend with a 2.7L V-6 is throwing a
code 4 (crank position sensor)
what are possible causes of this and some possible solutions for this

Most older Honda 4 cylinder engines have the crank position sensor in the distributor. I'm not sure about the older v6s.I was just trying to help, you don't have to be a dick.

I don't know if it"s in the dist. or not, I was asking. If it is I would suggest Looking in the distributor cap for brown dust. Otherwise check the wiring and connectors, and the resistance of the sensor itself.

On that year V-6 the Crank Angle position sensor could also be i the front bank cam area, just under the timing belt cover, but its easier to check the resistance on the plug do determine if its bad or not, unless of course its in the dist.

Hmm, not sure where this is located though I probably should. I'm only familiar with the more common problems involving the Legend.
