Default Transmission Fluid

Today I am dropping my y8 motor in, but I am un-sure about what to use as far as transmission fluid . . . . anyone have any good advice or anything that could help me in deciding what to get?

I would like to finish the install today and fire the car up, so hope to get some responces soon

Thanks

you r supposed to use 10-30 they make a lttle tube with an attachment for it with a little pump for the top of oil quarts.

actually you are supposed to use HG MTF. but 10w30 will work in a pinch. takes about 2.5-2.8 quarts. i always fill from the speed sensor, overfill with three then pop out the fill plug and let the excess run out.

Well, you're probably done with it by now, but if you're going to drain it again look into getting some GM synchro mesh fluid. Worked wonders for my Lude.
