Default ROLL CAGES 92 CIVIC?

Anyone with any good brands or websites to buy one? Preferably a 6 or 8 point. Can be either a bolt in or weld in.

http://www.kirkracing.com for Kirk bars. (I'm currently using a kirk, like the fact that it has larger base plates and the rear bars go back to the rear subframe, vs the AP going to the front of the rear wheel wells.)

http://www.ioportracing.com/ for AutoPower stuff.

Autopower from I/O Port Racing, Kirk from Kirk Racing, or you could get someone to build you a custom cage that is legal for your organization

don't get Cusco if you're doing anything but parking lot/car show chillin.

I love my Autopower.....AP, Kirk, or custom/certified is the only way to go

A lot of people, including myself, will disagree with this.

Everything past the rear suspension on the car is basically just along for the ride....basically why those "trunk support bars" are pretty st00pid.

The autopower holds the shock towers and keeps the car very rigid.

The Kirk does also, but it's not anymore beneficial by any means. Going with the thought that "everything behind the rear suspension is along for the ride", the Autopower would keep the chassis stiffer, as it's tied to the front of the wheel wells.

Both cages are great, just different designs

is this cage for drag racing, or for track use? If its for drag, try art morrison or something custom. If its for track, check the link to io-port somebody posted.

My concerns aren't so much with stiffness from the bar. If that was ever in doubt, a rear strut bar could be run and provide a more direct stiffener.

The safety aspect was the entire reason for my bar. Considering the size of the baseplates and the mounting locations, I find the Kirk bar to be a stronger setup. In the rear it locks around the subframe, which is alot more reinforced than the AP locking into the sheet metal of the wheel well.

I'm not saying the AP is bad, just that for safety and strength I feel the Kirk has a few extra perks.

Yeah, I was going to add that the Kirk bar seemed to be more for safety....I purchased mine for Solo I and II....where I'm not in too high of a risk for a rollover, but if it happens, I'll be safe. Plus, I need an approved cage, and picked up the AP for a rediculous price.

I was more for chassis strengthening
