don't they have it at a GM dealer? Might have to go to a place that specializes in GM performance

Go to a GM dealership. I picked it up there. I think it was Pine View GM (the one in woodbridge)

I'd suggest strongly to stay away from this stuff if you value your syncros

if you search for syncromesh, one of the other ITR members laid out the dispute in a very organized manner.

essentially its along the lines of the syncromesh fluid allowing for a "butter" feel at the cost of wearing your syncros down at a much faster rate.

It does this at the expense of synchro longevity, of course. This is not exactly news. However, many ppl consider this tradeoff to be well worth it. Just bear in mind that you aren't doing your tranny any favor by running any of these oils. You can't have it both ways. Less friction makes the synchros last longer, but you will get some 'grinding' when you shift. More friction makes the synchros work better, with less grinding, but it also makes them wear out faster...

If GM Synchromesh works better than anything else, and I'll have to take your word for it - having never used it, all that tells me is it's also the hardest on your synchros. Don't go into these blindly! It's a cruel world we live in, isn't it?

Gm syncromesh is crap, this stuff turned buttery on me in 2000kms.. For $2 more per litre just get the redline MTL, its good stuff.

Why can't everyone just use HONDA MANUAL TRANNY fluid???

we all drive Hondas, and they all came from the factory with it.

I need you to send me some (PM me so that we can arrange it). I thought that I had found it in Toronto, but the dealership had something else. They are giving me two part numbers as replacement for the friction modified stuff, they say that they no longer make it.

The new part number is 10953509 or 89021802 for the regular stuff. Any one ever heard these numbers before?
