H&R "Cup Kits" for Integra Type R
Who here has seen the new H&R "Cup kits" that H&R has launched for the US market? I was just at Autosports Inc. and they just installed a "Cup kit" on a '01 Golf 1.8T. Accoring to the owner, DC2 Integra Type R kits will be available soon. And pricing should be in the low four digits $1,000-$1,200.
Each kit comes pre- assembled ala Mugen Low Down and is full plug & play installation. The "Cup Kit" consists of 4 shortened, specific valving H&R struts with 4 specifically matched H&R race springs & hard upper mounts for a total drop of 2 to 2.5 inches over stock. After reading some literature he had on them. The kits have been available in Europe for some time now. It seems that H&R is providing these kits stateside now due to the demand for a quality motorsports suspension without having to re-mortgage the house and/or mess around with quirky and expensive instalation, adjustability, and corner weighting.

I don't know if the "Cup" kit differs from what I was looking at a couple of years ago, but back then the H&R coilover setups were leaps and bounds better than everyone elses and were fairly reasonably priced at around $1200 for my GTI VR6. I was planning on getting a set, but then sold the car for my ITR. Quality is excellent on these products and despite having high spring rates most owners said the ride was still very good. Those crafty germans sure do know how to make good handling cars

Th eH&R website doesn't list them for the DC2 ITR yet. But Golf/Jetta III & IV are already available, as well as Ford Focus, E36 M3, and '92-'95 Civic EX/SI.
According to the guy I spoke with, he said they'd be here by the end of the year. But if H&R says otherwise. I'm assuming his info was wrong. Oh well, at least EG Civic owners can benefit from the Cup kit.
