Default experiene with Bridgestone 730

I just ordered some Potenza's 205/50/15. The tires i have on there suck. They are not the RE010's. I bought the car and it had these Michelin XGT V4. I think they suck both in the wet and in the dry. Anyone had the experience with the 730's? Thanks.

Mike <---glad to be finally getting better traction

I replaces 010's with 730's on ITR 00-00981 - stock suspension and rims in 205/40/15. In the Seattle area weather (light to moderate rain) they did great. Dry performance approached 010.

"Great Value"

I put a set of 730's on 00 Si 15" rims on a 92 Si hatchback and plan on replacing the 010's on my 00 EK when they start to wear.

For the money, these are great tires.

Not as grippy as RE-010, but not as expensive. Better in the wet (but that's not hard to do). Overall, the RE-730 is a very good "sport" tire, but I think the S-03 Pole Position is better...

I am a big fan of these Bridgestones after many long years of being in the Dunlop camp. The S-03 is probably the top of the heap (in the sizes it is available) on these sorts of tires... it's $129 vs. $94 (www.tirerack.com).

The 730 are great tires. However on larger rear drive sedans they start to howl over time. Bridgestone is replacing them on a case by case basis. No know problems yet on front drivers.

I bought thess as well and I gotta say I'm pretty impressed, both with the price(tirerack) and performance.. I recently raced with them and was surprised how well they held under the pressure I was exerting. A whole weekend of hard driving on a road course and no chunking whatsoever. Great tire, but I gotta say I will be stepping up to the S-03 next time.

Have zero issues with mine. They handle very good at the limits, and grip okay in the rain.

How long do you think i can expect these tires to last assuming i rotate them every oil change and not Auto-X on them??? My dad owns a dealership so i have access to an air gun so it is easy to change the oil and just throw the tires from front to back. Thanks

What size can I use for the stock ITR rim and height? Since they don't come in the size of the stock RE010...

Most everyone uses 205/50ZR15 - but it is not a direct replacement; there will be some speedo (and thus odometer) error.

Props to Willard for the calculator.

I have them on my stock rim 205-50/15, however, I noticed that they are much less grip than 010 on dry. I can feel that the car loose easier when corning and you just feel that the car is less stable overrall. I would not buy a second set if this set worn out. Just my 2 cents.

Hey all, I replaced my tires with 910's, I think they suck but that's just my first impression. Am I wrong? Any other opinions?

Do you mean S-03 don't have as good grips than RE010 and RE730?
BTW, who's that girl in your avatar?
