German Civic Type-R video
For those who cares, granted it's not DC5, but it is TiGht-R afterall!...looks slow
http://www.andi76.de/CTR.wmv
NOTE*, 240mph = 150mph, done on the autobahn.
:walking out of the cave: Is CTR coming to the US? Looks like the LHD version is good to go...
and.....wow, I didn't know Germans are into Initial D too, cool!

so some stunna ricer in ugly pants decides to buy a ctr and race it around like the public streets is his own personal track
look at the sticker on his gas lid crying out loud...

I kind of like the last half where he's driving through the woods and then everytime it shows a view from outside the car, the music stops, and then when it shows inside the car again, it starts back.

Er...it's not how fast he's doing dictates it's a fast car, it's how much time it takes to get to a certain speed. For instance, people would use 0-60 in xx sec as an indication of acceleration, not "wow, this car does 60mph!!".
Using the same analogy, 150mph is no big deal, any grandma dares to floor the gas would probably hit 150mph in her Ford Taurus after some duration of time.
As a result, from 2nd gear 40kmh to 240kmh, it took him 40+ seconds. I certainly don't call that "fast", especially, on papger, EP3-CTR is a 6.6 sec 0-60 car.

Andi is a guy I know. He is NOT a Ricer. Andi is a member of http://www.battleparts.de who import performance parts to Europe, which is a difficult business over here.
This video was just a fun-project, nothing more. The driving style shown is absolutely normal for us, running the 150mph too. He is a fan of the Nurburgring just like me... Please don`t judge.

heh...I never said he's a ricer...but that CTR isn't as fast as I expected
<seems like aerodynamic and gearing is the problem>
Sorry man, I just want to share some Type-R related things, but I should've seen name-calling would be an imminent thing happening here on ITR forum.

No,
with my modded ITR I can blow away every stock CTR. This is not heroic. But it`s potential is nice... With a few mods the CTR is really nasty.

goddamn K-series
I find the video quite interesting, because I never seen a LHD CTR in action, so I want to acknowledge people here that it is very possible we will get CTR here in the US...and gave them a bit of preview.
But just like anything on ITR forum, everything can turn nasty no matter what your intention is.

he was going about 144 MPH. And the other guy from Germany is right, they typically drive liek that here. I have been here for a while as an American in Germnay it is hard to get used to thier driving style. The CTR isn't too bad, i had a chance to drive a 30th Anniversary CTR because i was planning on buying it, but the cost would have been close to 23,600 US dollars. So i bought me an older Skyline, and ended up selling it because i am comming back to the states in a month. But as he stated that is normal driving, the style of driving here is ALOT diffrent from driving in the states. Then again is the grocerey store closed at 530 in the states everyone would be ina rush to get there as well too.

In Germany there is NO SPEED LIMIT on autobahn, so whats your problem? I always drive there about 150 mph.

Not true the Autobahn has a recmended speed of 130km/h. some parts of some Autobahns have a speed limit free zone. The fastest i have been is about 240k as well. You really don't need to travel much faster than that. My average speed on the autobahn is 220k or about 132MPH. It is gonna suck commin back to the states in a month

Yeah... As long as there`s no traffic sign, you can go 400km/h or faster.
Basic condition = No limit.
And even in the smaller streets our driving style is really rough. It`s like a big relax when you cross the border to the Netherlands for example. Back in Germany the fight continues.

Very true. like if there is the smallest opening anywhere Germans try to fit in there. They have no fear in driving. The Netherlands is ALOT easier to drive in than Germany. When i drove to Amsterdam there was the biggest diffrence from German Autobahns to The Netherlands. Plus Germany has all these old cobblestone roads, and they drive like 100k down then and i'm all like doin 20-30k so i don't scrape my front bumper every 3 feet. lol they all get pissed at me and try to pass me in the middle of downtown on like a 1 way. Stupid German drivers

For driving like an idiot on a narrow street
