Default another cam question, help please

i just took apart my engine (ls/vtec). i want to re-build it top to bottom but i'm stuck on what cams i should use. i'm going with about 12.0 - 13.0 cr, and the guy who is going to p/p my head said that going with ctr cams will be good enough...is he right? is it worth getting toda or skunk or crower cams? i'll sacrifice comfort for hp. thanks in advance

For 13:1 compression, I would go to something crazier than CTR cams. It really depends upon where you want your power, being that it's an LS/VTEC, I would think that you would want your power to be lower in the powerband than say a B18C5, certain cams will put power in certain places. Search to find more information.

Default Re: (Kendall)

i searched all around and i didn't find a definite answer (which cam would give me max hp). honestly, i have little knowlege when it comes to cams...but basically i will build the bottom end and the head so it can rev up to 9500rpm no matter the price...actually, even if anybody knows who i can call, please let me know. also, are certain cams better for certain engines? if so, what's the best for mine? if these are stupid questions i'll stick to my **** websites. thanks again
