My drag times on an F4i. Wanna hear yours also!
Well I took my bike to the drags yesterday for the first time. At first I had the jitters running a 13.4 or something stupid slow like that on my first run. Quickly adapted after that though and ran my best time being a 12.04@119. I thought this was pretty good for my first time out their and I know I can break 11's next time. Also I raced a buddy of mine that has a daytona 600 with a micron slip-on. His best time was an 11.994.@ 115. I never will hear the end of it from him either. By the way my bike is a 2003 f4i with a micron slip-on. I want to hear your guys's times if you have ever raced drag before!

Its all about practice. The more time you spend practicing, the better times you're going to have. Plus, with more practice, the more comfortable you're going to feel dragin' ur bike, cuz u'll know what it can, and cant do, and how to do it. As the old saying goes, "practice makes perfect"
very ture. I cant wait till next wednesday. I will post new times then. I am hoping for an 11.8! My old goal was 12.3 and beat it with a 12.05 so maybe now with me having a little bit better idea of how the bike feels I can pull it off. Thanks for all the input guys.
it would defently slow your times down, clutch shift clutch is much slower than just shifting, i've heard as long as you shift above 9,000 rpm that its not too hard on the transmission, we'll see what tony has to say though.
ok so i would let off throttle almost all the way like a regular shift but just without clutch? and would this be alright to do from lets say 1st to 2nd because of the low speed and amount of torque. its seems like it could come up way to easy? *** it im gonna try it now.
Alright, I ran it again and this time ran an 11.74 @ 121. They wouldn't let run anymore and kicked me out since I didn't have leathers. Thier rule is that if you go over 120 you must have leathers. I did not use speed shifting. It seemed not to help me out much and felt like it was chopping away at my gears. But a .3 difference seems to be a great deal better to me. Next time I will be shooting for the 11.5 and then get kicked out again!
eesh sorry to say man, but it probably wasn't smart to tell us you weren't wearing leathers. I'm sure you've seen how many times people get flamed for riding without leathers.
Just a warning I guess.

Hahah, u said it before me.
I never ride street with leathers, but on the track... you are insane. I know a guy who went down on a shift at close to 100. Thank god he was wearing leathers. Not a flame, just keep it in mind.
