i need some good photographers who are willing to let me use their photos for a school project.

requirements:
i need photos that have been already manipulated in photoshop [to save me time] as well as at least 180 dpi.

Objective:
I got this assignment to make a book for my publishing class.
i have to set the text, set the photos, print out, and hand bind the book.
its heavily based on photos rather than text, but there will be some text involved.
it's more of "artsy" book rather than a functional book of how-to's, tech and whatever...

so i need some interesting shots rather than your run of the mill 3/4's shot, altho a few of those will be used.
and anyone who is willing to write some text would be awesome too. [i will fill in details later]

This is my final project thats due at the end of the semester, so no need to be rushing....yet.
We just needed to present our proposals next week.
i just wanted to give you guys a heads up.
i will update this post as i find out more requirements.

lol, that's exactly what i was thinking. he'd be a good saleman though

 

Spend less time posting on H-T and more time doing your own homework.

 

yeah but this class/assignment is not based on the photos or what the text says as much as
it's about design, layout, composition and craft.

it would be pretty weak if i was in a writing class, or photography class tryin to front.
but it's not about that.

not necessarily abstract,
but shots that take composition into consideration.
something interesting to look at, not just some snap shot someone took as they were walkin from car to car at a show
...you know?

Graphic design in the real world dosent mean that you also take your own pics. There are websites where you buy STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY. Designers design, photographers take pics.

i actually do have a site up,
but its purely for utilitary use as a online portfolio, rather than "my website"
i learned html and a little bit of dreamweaver last week, and compiled a website in about 4 days.

ill post a link once i scan some stuff and link em.

so for an update,
rather a bump.

my teacher digs the idea, and said i should look into gettin it published in asia.
he says theres a big market over there for it, especially since i want to do imports.

my idea basically is "imports tuned by americans" more or less.

so once again, if some of ya'll would like to help out, i'd appreciate it.
and hell, if it ever gets published, the people who have contributed will be gettin some rep and free ****.

i dont have alot of good photos, but if you need any photoshop work, i am there for ya. let me know. ive got a sh*t load of cool fonts and brushes too to make things look interesting. the site I use for high res car photos is http://www.dieselstation.com. lots of cars there. good luck!!!!

we've decided 180 dpi seems logical.
since not everyone shoots at 300 dpi.

i have no bias towards htphotocrew members or not.
i'm just looking for photos.
whether they were enhanced in photoshop, or are scans of photographs.
