Exactly how many qt of ATF does a 97 LX need?
I need to know how many quart to put in to the auto tranny. I already bought 3 qt from Honda, but I'm sure I don't need to fill it up with 3 quarts on drain/refill, correct?
2.3 on refill...
This is most accurate, make sure car is level, fill until fluid pours out of the fill hole, once this is done it means you should not fill anymore, just plug. That simple.

umm. that's for MTF isnt it? auto trannys have dip sticks to measure how much fluid is in there, but i dont know the capacity. give ur dealer a call, or just ask at the parts counter at the local autoparts store

the fill hole? not accurate. between 2-3 quarts, as long as the torque converter is completely full and has not been removed. just be sure to check the dipstick.
