How long did you have to wait?
2 months.
I "looked" at alot of cars online and got alot of unresponsive and hard to deal with people. Mostly the type that didnt really want to sell it anyways, and quite a few that would not answer questions about the car, and one that backed out of the sale after I booked a train ticket. Really frustrating.
I ended up finding a car locally - much easier transaction. I wanted a white one, but oh well

and everytime i bring it up to him..he says..you had your chance now you have to wait..and save up some money yourself
which i should and am somewhat

Bought my first one on a coffee break, saw it in the paper at a dealer and signed the paperwork that day.
The second one was even easier ... both 97's.

I saw a few 97/98's way back when and was interested... but at the time I was not in a position to buy a new car.
When I found a 2001 in the area for sale, I got right on that immediately. I had two I was looking at - my PY, and a black '01 that was being marked WAY up.

I waited a long time before deciding, no time at all after deciding.
When the ITR came out in '97, I didn't want it, because I didn't want a white car. White = boring, bland. So I waited.
When the ITR returned in '00, I didn't want it, because I knew that the Integra would be redesigned soon. I assumed that there would be a Type R in the new version. So I waited.
In March '01, I read in the mags that they were not going to have a Type R for the new RSX. So I immediately picked up the phone and told my dealer I wanted the new yellow one they had in stock.

I didnt have to wait at all. At the time I didnt know chit about VTAK or the ITR. I had a DOHC VTEC Del Sol, saw the ITR at a dealer, and bought it on the spizzzzot. The rest, as they say, is hizzzzistory.
Is it really that hard to find? Hmm...I guess you guys didn't look "HARD" enough.
I wanted one after I watched some BM vids, I called up some dealer once I have the budget and 2 days later I put down my deposit with the dealer...took them 3 months to get it for me --- this is my PY...RIP.
After wrecking my first ITR, I was debating on what car to get. I decided that I should fullfill my dream of owning a CW ITR before anything, so took me only 3 months to locate a decent shaped CW and brought it right away with insurance money.
Not hard at all...

Why is that?
There's really no "excuse" for not being able to get an ITR if you really want one!
