Well i have a jdm first gen b16 wit a 10.4 compresion ratio and my friend has usdm b16a2 with a 10.2 compresion ratio. what in the motor makes the first gen b16 have higher compresion ratio. i was thinkin maybe the head might milled or head gasket but really don't have any clue...... any body have any ideas?
usually the head isnt milled any more..that makes the combustion chmaber smaller which raises the compression...its usually just the pistons dome/wrist pin height...usually the head gaskets are are the same too...
actually your 1st gen has 10.2 comp. not 10.4
all usdm b16's and 1st gen ones use pr3 pistons(10.2)
2nd gen jdm b16's come with p30 pistons(10.4)
all usdm b16's and 1st gen ones use pr3 pistons(10.2)
2nd gen jdm b16's come with p30 pistons(10.4)
