What is the difference between a b16 PR3-2 head and a PR3-1 head? please help

not 100% but i think ones first gen and ones 2nd gen i dont think there is a difference except for the ecu they connect to

Yeah I have a 1st gen b16 but my head says PR3-2 and my buddy has a 2nd gen b16 and his says PR3-1 we were like!? so thats why I masking here

Look at the date on it. One is first gen and one is second. I believe the second gen is a better head, but Im not exactly sure why.

Yeah ok but if mine is 1st gen b16 and his is a 2nd gen then why would his head be PR3-1 and mine would be PR3-2?

the 2nd gen heads have a lil bit more aggressive cams then the 1st gen, the manifold is lil different, and as far as the engine as a whole, the block on the 2nd gen has higher compression, and the ecu on the 2nd gen is better...

LOL I know what you guyrs are saying but why does his Engine head code says PR3-1 and he has a 2nd gen and mine is a 1st gen and mine says PR3-2

not positive but i know that they have different cam tower braces

just switch heads the the numbers will correspond to the engines model number
