ok so i installed some 2 piece chikara headers but we threaded one of the bolts wrong so it doesnt go in all the way, so now i have an exhaust leak. i was wondering if this is what caused my really low idle once my car is warmed up. it idles at about 1500 when cold and drops to almost zero im guessing around 300 when warmed up. car is a 98 ex thanks.

 

it prolly can only idle at 400 at the least, thats how low my z6 goes when I am not driving the clutch right and coming off of a stop

no it goes lower then that sometimes it drops to the line right above 0 and sounds like it's going to die. IAC?

 

IAC is your idle air control valvle. YOu need to check for a cel (check engine lite) code.

If you have a eg hatch or civic, there are 2 plugs where the ECU goes. One of them has 3 holes, the ohter has 2. (they are blue)

Stick a paper clip (1) in both the holes so the circuit can be completed.
Your SRS and CEL lites will start blinking. Count the number of times the cel lite blinks.

I think if it is a long blink, then that means 10. the quick blinks mean 1.

 

After u check you IAC If thats not it,
Try your idle screw on your throttle body, located in the upppe left corner of the TB..

Does it serge from ilke 1000 down to 400??
If so prob IAC check it out like mr Teal said to do..
O and if u dont know where it located its locate on the back of your Intake manifold,
Its two 12 mm bolts and 2 coolant hoses..
