Default torque converter ?

ok, i just changed out my friends busted tranny and the car drives but has no power, the only thing i can think of is its the torque converter, i was wondering if a converter from a 93 ls teg can wrk because they look to be the same sized and the splines line up and fit and the bolt pattern looks the same. but i just wanna make sure before i try anything stupid.

PLz help would be appreciated

NO idea but the torque converter RARELY busts out, mostly is the Clutchpack that got abuse.

again check the atf, if it got little brown sand like stuffs in the juice, it's the clutchpack

Its more then likly the clutch packs like he said. But when you drive what do you mean it has no power? Slips, Flare shifts, bogs down. those all make a difference.

well, it was slipping and had no power, but when the new tranny was put in the slipping was gone but it still bogs...it takes a while for it to get to speed

Check to make sure the shift siliniods are all plugged in correctly. Also check your fluid level. Just for S&G check to make sure you can turn the wheeels by hand when the car is in neu. on jack stants to see if its really binding inside.

no, you can use a h22 Tq, they share the same bolt pattern and will line and bolt up:

what did you do to the car? swap? or just replace tranny? check your fluids and do you have any CEL or D4 light flashing?

if your auto, remember the shift points are controlled only by your tcu if you odb1 and your ecu/tcu single unit if your obd2

well the reason i asked is both the converters are the same size, and the splines line up. im not an idiot for asking a question. i asked because it was only gonna be temp until we could get the H22 in it

i never said you were an idiot, i just thought that it could...i figure if most of hondas parts are interchangeable why not the converter.

BTW the clutch pack, is that in the converter?
