Default New RSX Type S owner

Hey guys well I just picked up my RSX-S, Night Hawk Black Pearl with the Ebonyinterior and no spoiler, is past Sunday and am having fun with it even though I haven't been doing much but breaking it in. 350 more miles to go and then I'll see what it really feels like. This is my replacement for my previous car, the ITR. R.I.P. I have some plans for it already but let me know what you guys would suggest as far as mods go. I am not very familiar with the K-series motors. Not planning to modify it right now until I get used to it stock but it never hurts to get ideas.

I'd look into upgrading the suspension first.

Congratulations. I love those RSX-S. If I had more money, I would have bought one.

I'm back. I just haven't logged in for a while. Thanks for the ideas guys. I think the first thing would be suspension too maybe some JDM BLING Teins or something.

Well one thing you may want to upgrade which I highly recommend would be a better set of tires. A lot of people have wrecked thier cars due to crappy tires. Look into Falken Azenis tires that will keep you planted.

As for suspension go with Tein Flex, you will not be disappointed. I have them and they handle great. Have fun with the car, and one mod you will feel power from would be a intake.
Good luck with the car.

He speaks words of wisdom...many people have wrecked their cars due to this...
i personally wrecked mine....pulling one of these...in a completely stock type S.

I had 2 much faith in the stock suspension and those suck *** tires.

As for now, im getting another one since i totaled mine

and this week actually prior to getting another type S i will be purchasing my Tein Coilover Suspension.

i droven my friends dc2 r before, i like it a lot more that the type-s.... when the second cam kicks, it almost feel like a boost, handles a lot better, way more like a sports car.... but i like the type-s smooth power from the start to the end, it's interior, the fact that it is 2.0 for more power, safer (meaning you don't have to think about your car getting jack as much), six speed baby..... that is what i think about the two cars, but in the end i would still pick the dc-2 r over the type-s because i am in love with that car since the 96spec came out in japan......

Get a C.A.I. first....then decide if you are going to stay N.A., or some kind af forced induction or NOS.

Have fun, They are wonderful cars to drive...I usually have to take people for rides before they believe how much fun these cars are...The DC5-S that is

That is insane...but you can't really blame that on the suspension. You were going over double the speed limit.

So your insurance covered that accident? Did you get any tickets? I'm amazed not only that you were covered for a new car but that you are alive...

actually....ur right that i was going over the speed limit...but the way all of it happened...was totally due to stock suspension, not saying that its the suspensions fault for this happeneing or anything, but if i would have had some tein coilovers this definetly would not have happened. got a whole lot of body roll or chassis flex what ever u wanna call it.

No Tickets. Insurance paid off the car. But since i had only made my first month's payment and had walked out of the door of the dealer with the car and didnt have to leave a down payment...i ended up being assed out, Insurance did not get me another car or anything. But now im in the process of getting myself another 1. And this one im going to keep under 100.

Yeah i wasn't trying to poke fun or anything you just seemed a little too calm to have totalled a $25k car. I get scared enough when i break 110 and if i crashed i would probably be to scared to drive for a little while!

By the way how much are the tein coilovers? My friends got an S and he needs to man up and upgrade his suspension as well .

Get Ground control coilovers and Tokico illumina struts. Same effect, same adjustablity, but with a life time warrenty. Tein only offers 1 year. Plus, that combo is cheaper buy about 400-500 bucks. But it's just my opinion, everybody's different.
