Default opinions? 92 integra with b16?

I am looking to buy an integra and I found this one on ebay its a 92 with a b16a swap only 40k on the swap AND an LSD. It also has a bunch of bolt ons (exhuast, cai, etc). Current price is $3,800. Was wondering, a) what do you think of that price and B) how fast could this thing go?

seems like a good price, obviously depends on MANY factors that you haven't filled us in on.. so really its hard to say if thats truly a good price or not.

which b16a is it? a 1st gen? or 2nd gen? Either way the car will be very comparable to a 92-93 gsr which had the b17a engine. Its a great car. Just like most stock hondas it won't be fast, but it'll be pretty quick. GSR's are pretty rare, and often fetch a pretty penny, so the car you're looking at may be a good way to get as good or better performance for less than a GSR.

Personally I don't like buying modded cars, I don't like knowing that someone else was tinkering with stuff before I got it. Who knows what kind of corners they cut.... And only some of this can be seen on first inspection of the car.

My friend has a 92 gsr with VERY low miles. Felt as fast as my 00 civic si. To put it another way, I think it is a 15 second car. Who knows? Take it to a track.

a gsr should have a b17. i bet thats the same bumper as the one that was on ebay for like the past month with a wicked high reserve. i guess they blew the stock b17 and dropped in a b16? i dunno im glad there are people out there that sell b17's because otherwise a stocker motor would cost like 5x what it cost me.

d16 is slow even after a supercharger. i guess slow isnt the word but they keep up with na dohc vtec motors. ppl drop 6x9's in the panel that covers the hatch area but it looks and sounds bad.

my friend has a 93 and he dropped in a B16. this B16 "supposely" had CTR cams and fully rebuilt bottom end that make 190 "whp". but i think he was just bullshitting. anyhow, his car wasn't that quick at all. first thing is, he had a hard time to get his VTEC wiring working. and one he did get it up and running, he was 1 to 1 1/2 cars behind my car when we raced. but then again, he's not the best of driver.

i really don't think that a B16 should go into any integra, yes, they do have same power as the B17, but they will also have less torque than the B17. but hey, if the price is right, go for it.

Hmm i had my d16 running 15.5 all the time and although it isnt that fast it felt fast ont he butt dyno. This engine is already wired up for the vtec n **** its like ready to go and since i thought the d was fast id only imagine that this engine with like 60 more horses would be a great improvement. Can I stick an itr head on a b16 bottom?

I thought the c5 head and the b16 head were damn near identical.....minus camshafts and springs

sounds like a ok price, but you can probably find a newer integra ls for the same price or even a 94 gsr if your lucky.
