Thanks to Chris I got my DTR header in the mail the other day...well it was just sitting around and i was waiting for some laundry to get done and i figured...what the hell, DC Sports polishes their Stainless headers...might as well give it a shot...im nnot done cuz i had to clean my hands to do the laundry but this only took like 15 minutes to do what you see here
Enjoy

Saw that thread of when you polished your header. Does the header stay in that condition or does it eventually wear away quickly. Want to do it to my header. Was impressed with the way it came out on yours.

I bet you that shine went away very quickly. If that is stainless steel, it will turn gold after like 3 days of use. It will then start to get all crusty looking and **** and you will have to pull it off and do it all over again. Get the ceramic coating stuff if you want it to keep the same finish forever and ever. Companies like Swain Tech, Jet Hot, and Airborn Coatings can do that ceramic coating.

Actually if you polish the header it will stay a really nice gold color for a long time. Danny actually polished our race header for the All Motor car and it still looks good. I would not ceramic coat a SS header.

stainless should stay gold. If it gets "crusty? its most likely from hand oil or other contaminents burning from touching the tubes. Blue Away is supposed to work good for getting rid of the "crust."

Looks great... very bling-ish. I wonder what #'s he got before and after the header.
