i believe all that's different is the cat itself, the length on that is different

You can buy an adapter piece have seen em before to make up for the shortness of the 90-91 exhaust systems, 92-93 is longer, I just unpacked my Rs*r ex mag tonight for my 90 ls

every part of the exhaust is different. The downpipe, the cat and the catback are all different. Thus you have to use all 3 pieces from the same (either 90-91 or 92-93).

so that adapter piece would only work if you are putting a 90-91 system on a 92-93 with stock length downpipe and cat.

you could swap all the parts from the 90, but the header isn't as good of a piece (doesn't flow quite as well) and the O2 sensor bung will be in the wrong place. You have to use the O2 sensor from the 93 and extend the wires. I'm not sure if the new placement of the sensor will have any illeffects though.

I personally think its a better idea to just get an adapter. that way you can keep the better exhaust manifold as well as have the O2 sensor in the correct location. I may try and purchase 92AztecGsr's RSR adapter since the adapter I have on my car is the wrong diameter. If I purchase his, I could sell you mine. It will be a little larger diameter than the stock piping, but would still work perfectly fine.
