How long should it take the dealer to diagnose my 'teg not starting?
I just got my car shipped from St. Louis to San Jose. When it left St. Louis I had a perfectly working car. When the car arrived in San Jose it had 2 paint chips on the front bumper, the front bumper pulled loose from the body on both sides, the battery drained from the truck driver trying to crank the car to get it started, and the car itself not starting. I had it towed to the dealer Sunday night and they have now been trying to diagnose the starting problem for three days.
Does anyone know what their diagnosis process usually entails? Should it take three days to figure out an engine cranks but won't start problem? I'm getting pissed because I'm stuck here with no car having moved 2000 miles from home for a new job and now I have to navigate miles of red tape with my company's relocation service to get damage claims filed and hopefully a rental car while the dealer figures out what is wrong with the 'teg. I want to figure out if the dealer is jerking me around too.
Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

I don't know how long it usually takes but my local dealer charges
120.00 just to look and diagnose the problem. then they work that into the
cost of the repair of the vechile if you decide to have them fix it.

theres no fixed time, it really depends on whats wrong. My buddy's 2001 TL got the entire dash taken apart trying to diagnose a intermitten starting problem. Turned out a body shop left the main grounding cable loose in the engine bay. The dealership had that car for like 1-3 days, and the workers were pissed at working on the car. In the process the dealership replaced the ignition, disassembled the starter kill and some other work before finding the loose cable.
