Hes feedback looks pretty good so personally I would not worry about it. I would try e-mailing him and talking to him about the engine. You can usually tell a scammer just by talking to them. Most of the people I have been scammed by are not intelligent and it shows in their typing and basic english skills. Although this is not fool proof its probably your best bet. Go for it.
An ITR swap for $1,600???? Hmmm.
And why is there a picture of a B18c engine stamp and then one of a B18C5 when the engine is JDM?
I dunno on this one.

I have seen this EXACT item description before. Something's not quite right.
These people really annoy me by using pictures they've gathered off the internet or from other ebay auctions. If nothing else, I'd like him to explain why he's got a b18c5 AND b18c block stamp picture. Also, if it were really made in 2000 it wouldn't have a 4-lug suspension.
One way this guy might be a scammer...
- he places the ad
- uses a secondary account to place a really high bid on the engine (so noone will actually win it)
- he encourages you to email him
- he takes $1600 from droves of people trying to get a "steal"
- they can't leave negative feedback because they didn't win the auction
I'd personally ignore this guy. Too good to be true always is.

That's assuming the seller will use it. His ad implies that he won't.

It's a hacked account, happens all the time. Check his prior feedback, not just the rating. He has never sold anything even remotely close to the current listings he has now.
A post like this was made a few weeks back where a guy did the same thing, wanted the overseas bank wire transfer. The auction was ended shortly and the account closed.
