depends on how much you use it.

my first full bottle lasted me 2 days due to the fact that i had an itchy trigger finger. when i first installed my kit, i sprayed so many times just to show off and have fun. sometimes a full bottle would last me a week. after a while i got more conservative, and only sprayed when i would race someone, which was everyother weekend. bottle refills can get anoying sometimes, at 50 bux a pop.
if i had to guess i would say that a full bottle would last up to 15 runs through 4th gear at full throttle.

Refills run about $3 a pound you do the math. Zex makes a great kit for first time nitrous users. Make sure you pull some timing out and have enough fuel and you will have no problems. My last motor in my street car had I would guess about 100k miles on it and well over 100 bottles of nitrous sprayed through it. I even sprayed it at 100hp for a couple of bottles. Zex says you get about 3 minutes at the lowest hp setting. The time a bottle lasts depends on a lot of different things including weather and temperature. Have fun good luck

Semi off topic...

how hard would it be for someone to install a N2O kit themself.

zex is the only dry kit i would buy. i only heard good things about them. an hour is quick think about this and figure it out urself. install bottle mounts in trunk, put bottle in, drill hole for blowdown tube, screw blow down tube on, run line for nitrous, mount nmu, hookup lines, put switch in car, run wire to nmu, run rest of the wires like tps and whatnot. clean up ur install and add the tephlon tape to the n2o fittings.

Teflon tape? My NOS kit said to not use this because it can jam the solenoids open.

all kits are pretty easy to install, but the zex is alot simpler due to fact that it has a box that all the hoses goes into. the hardest part about an install is where to mount everything. after you've mounted everything all the hose and wire hookups are easy.

i used teflon tape on my hookups, the only part that i didn't use teflon tape on was where the main nos line hooks up to the bottle. when using teflon tape, only wrap the threads and not the ends, that way no tape debris goes anywhere.

so spraying the 55-75 shot would be safe on his stock engine then? also, what about fuel management? should he worry about changing the stock injectors/fuel pump? Makes a diff. if you have an auto for how large a shot you want to use too, they aren't especially fun/cheap to replace.

stock honda blocks can handle up to a 75 shot. no pump or injectors are required for this shot. just get colder plugs, gap them about .36. retaed timing about 3 degrees.

Might wanna make sure the overlap from Stage II's isn't gonna render the nitrous next to nothing.

What kind? Would any aftermarket adjustable one work?

Haven't filled the bottle yet i think i will do what torr said also with the teflon tape.

Also it wouldn't be too hard on an auto as long as you don't spray in the low gears right? I mean like 100-125 shot?

What do you mean? It will work just fine unless you have so much overlap the nitrous blows right through the combustion chamber.

teflon paste is recommended not teflon tape. 27.50 for 10lb refills.

Too much overlap would be when the intake and exhaust are both open for too long. Some N/A race cams have this problem. I'd think if you had a ton of overlap some of the fuel and air/nos could exit it in unequal amounts causing it to have messed up a/f ratio a little but it shouldn't hurt the only thing it would do would be make the shot a little smaller.
