Punctured radiator, am i screwed?
When i was drilling out the spot welds on my rad support, my drill put grabbed the metal and pulled all the way through and punctured my rad halfway with a 3/8 bit. Lots of antifreeze started leaking out and the hole is exactly in line with one row. I was thinking of drilling it through, putting a 3/8 bolt in, and cycle it with radiator seal.
Can this be fixed? Do i have to buy a new rad

could be fixed.. or you could buy a radiator off me.. see link in sig..
I wouldn't mess with it, personally..
Trying to do the JDM conversion with taking as little as possible off, eh?

Eh, well those hoses were harder than hell to come off..
I was pulling the rad out, then got carried away with the drilling and cutting and thought i could get away without pulling it out..
Im going to try and drill out today and plug with a bolt.. See what happens
Dam, and i wanted to get my JDM 4-1 now too

You can buy a radiator plug kit at Autozone/Pep Boys etc. but it sounds like your hole might be a bit large for that (if you pardon the expression).

They do? I'm not sure I have every seen a report of one for an ITR. Even people who use their cars exclusively on the track keep the stock radiator.

I agree with you there now that I think about it...but the radiators are still plastic and itr's have only been around for 5 or 6 years....they usually go around 80 or 90k....not a lot of ITR's are up there yet....hell I'm only at 24k...
You could try that liquid sealer with the shards of metal, but I don't know if it woudl fil a hole of that size. If others have tried JB weld amd found it successful, its worth a try, but be very careful and keep a real close eye on it
i ran my car on the JB weld with it boosted for a while with the heat of my dumptube extremely close to it with no probs at all , it will hold fine.
Put a good size hole in mine, sent it out to Scotty's, a local rad shop and got it patched for under $50(well that's what it would have cost
) Call around and see who you can find in your area, fawk a new rad.
