not illegal last time i checked......but of course thats in MI......what are u supposed to do anytime ur engine dies, total the car????

since ur motor has losa miles on it, turboing isnt gonna be 100% reliable.....theres more work in turboin f22 than theres is to do a basic H22 swap......

oh, and use the search function.........

you can rebuild the motor or swap in the same motor...

anyways the search buttom would have given answer to his question in about 30 seconds instead of wasting space on the board.

hey bro, i see you gots a accord with a H22. I have a 94 ex accord now with a blown head and like 156k miles on it. So i am just thinking scratch it and swap in a H22, i was looking to buy the H22 on hmotorsonline, they seem to have a good price on their 2200 complete changeover. Do you know does this include EVERYTHING. like if i drop off the car and the engine, i should be able to get away with just paying labor fees to install it?

Also, do you know any places local to So CAL thats good and CHEAP, money is an issue?

And, lastly, smog, what are you doing about this, is it easy if i have no mods on my car other than the H22, to get the smog referrie to make up a sticker for my car and pass it? or is there stuff i have to do?

thanx to anyone that can answer these questions

being cheap with a motor swap always leads to problems down the road. there are about $300 worth of maintenance items that should be replaced along with a new clutch is always reccomended. it's also a good time to get a hi-flow cat and you may want to upgrade to a 3 inch intake. then there always things you don't expect that you may need to pay for like broken sensors and a p/s bracket depending how you decide to hook it up.

i would suggest use of the search button to find more detail.

LOL, I was gonna say go with a 95 2.7l v6 engine till I saw they have 30 less hp and only 4 more lbs of torque than the h22a engine which is probably much lighter, cheaper, easier to install, and gets better gas milage.

I don't know about bolting up but the 95 model has that engine as an option, so I'm pretty sure you could fit it even if you wouldn't want to.

the front ends are different between v6 and 4cyl accords. the v6's nose is longer to accomodate the engine.
