What: Type R meet
When: March 13th
What time: 12 noon (South leg meet at MILLBRAE BART STATION 10:30- 11:00am)


Where: Treasure Island
(between Oakland and San Francisco). Still not sure where it is? Try the
Bay Bridge. Still don't know, try the map or get help.
The exact meeting spot has been IMed to all attendees on the list.

Damn it seems like there are more "posers" coming than actual R owners. People are just inviting themselves left and right, talking about bringing their civics and gsr's and 4 door this and 4 door thats. Like jdmspoonitr said and I will reaffirm: if you were actaully invited by <U>a few ITR owners</U>, <U>actually coming</U>, then you may attend. If not, please let us have our "family" meeting in peace. Do not crash a party that you are not invited to, it just makes the people mad and makes you look like a loser. There will be other meets, there will be Honda-Tech and Honda meets, but until then let us ITR owners meet each other in peace.

I apologize for being mean, but someone has to raise the palm and put the foot down. The purpose of this meet was for fellow ITR owners, actual ITR owners, to meet one another in a festive, friendly environment. Some of the ITR owners have expressed their fear about too many "non" ITR owners coming, some to possibly vandalize or target a future theft. We are no way implying that every non ITR owner is a thief, but some are. So, because of our high insurance and theft rate, we must limit the number of non ITR owners coming. Please do not automatically invite yourself to this, you will be frown upon.

It would probably just make you look foolish for showing up to something you are not invited to. I do not know about you, but that would embarass the hell out of me. Some ITR owners have stated that if too many "stunnas" come, then they would not attend. Please why can we not have this? Is it really that much to ask for you to let us meet fellow ITR owners only? Save yourself the time and embarassment by just not coming to it, if you are not invited.

If you have a genuine ITR, then by all means bring her. I have checked out your garage though and hope that your "itr" is not that Type R modified gsr.

 

So... this is an Integra Type-R ONLY meet?

 

it's cool that you guys are doing this, but I have never seen anything like this in SoCal. Anybody was more than welcome to attend the ITR la jolla meet and I didn't see any "stunnaz". I think your elitist tone just drives people to want to attend more. People want what they can't have and the way that you have addressed the issue makes others feel as though you see their cars as inferior, which they may or may not be. In general, i think your approach to this was not taken in the appropriate manner.

My 2 cents is this is a Type R meet which meant for Type R owners only. However, there's ALWAYS the exception to the rule. If you own a Type R in the past then you once share a common with us, bring your new ride to the meet or if you know some of the Type R owners that are going to the meet and want to share our passion for the Rs then by all means come-on-out. For the stunnazs and trouble makers please leave us alone to enjoy our little activity. I'm sure there are bigger and better thrill car meet to crash on.

Rick here, will show up with a For Sale sticker on his R...this will be the last R meet for me....I will be at Millbrae Bart Station at 10:30am-11:00am for any1 who wants to meet up there coming from San Jose or something...whats the spot at Treasure Island??????????????

 

I'm still waiting for some local guys or gals from S.F. area to provide this info. If not, I myself will take a trip down there this Sat. to scout out a meeting area on Treasure Island.

As for the other folks that we don't know that want to attend. There is a meet every Friday night by Tapioca Express. It's a full on Honda-Tech meet and will have more cars to look at.

I don't know why people are pushing the issue. All of our Norcal R meets have consisted of R's only with the exception of Bob and some other folks that we know. I don't see why this meet should be any different.

In Napa it was fun as hell to see a line of all R's. That's the enjoyment we're looking for.

 

but if people are gona drive out to a meet, then most likely they arent tools or whatnot.

most people I have met at meets are all cool people.

if you want it only itrs then thats fine. just gets boring with like 5 or so people there

I do not know that much about the LA area, but if you drive around in the bay area; you will see a lot of "stunnaz." We are not trying to be elitest, we are in no way saying that we do want to not see other cars because they are inferior. We know that there are some pretty nice cars out there that probably do surpass our performance or cosmetic level. But when it comes down to it, we just want to meet fellow ITR owners. I myself have seen pictures of many ITR meets, where it is only ITR and that is what I want to see. This is what many ITR owners want to see as well. Just think of this as a "family" get-together, how would you feel if random people started showing up? Plus if we let random people come, some ITR owners will become hesitant to attend. All I want is for the maximum amount of ITR owners to appear, but if we allow unwelcomed guests to come, that will not be possible.

 

why not have it setup then to have someeone email a new meeting location to everyone that is on the approved list

on a side note. there are 2 hot girls in the east bay with itr's

one of htem is really cute

hopefully I see them in the next week so I can tell them about a meet

I know a girl with a black ITR in the east bay. I do not know if she will come though.

 

Bob, my thought exactly. I was planning to IM people who are on the list with info of the meeting spot once I find out. So, ITR owners, please sign up and stay turn for an exact meeting spot. For those who prepered to be e-mailed on this, please IM or e-mail me. Thanks.
