Default WTB: 97up Prelude

My friend is very interested in buying a 97 up Prelude, 5 speed, white. No SH. Located in SoCal... is anyone thinking about selling?

Also, are there any specific things to look for when buying this car? Were there any recalls (honda=i doubt it) but still.. anything to keep in mind when buying used with a prelude?

Test drive it to see how it handles. Look for low mileage, Ask about it last tune up and/or anything being replaced. I've never heard of a recall on Preludes or any other hondas

There were two recalls on 97's. The first is the front ball joint recall and the second only effects the first 3000 or so 97's, and that's the oil pump ballancer shaft recall. I have a 97 and I don't think either has been done to my car so they are not of vital importance. I will be getting the ballancer shaft recall done when I get my timing belt changed here shortly. All that involves it placing a clip on the oil pump ballancer shaft so that it can't "walk" out and let all the oil out of your engine.

Probably around 18.
I just spent $3000 on the engine overhaul and internals!

I don't know about anyone else but I sure wouldn't pay 18 for a 97. Hell I didn't even pay 18 for my 97 when I bought it used 2 years ago with 30K on the clock. 18 is very high, even for a modded prelude.
