Default Better mileage

I have a 1991 Civic STD hatchback with the good ol' 4 speed. It has approx 124K on it. I put new plugs in it about 10K ago. NGKs. I always use premium gasoline and Fuel system cleaner every 3K. Oil is always changed every 3K with Valvoline MaxLife 5W30. I need new plug wires. I know I do due to the ones I have discoloring and about to crack. What are the advantages/disadvantages to bigger plug wires? Do bigger wires put a larger strain on the distributor? Would they create too much spark and burn the engine more than normal over time? I get about 315 miles to the average tank and am always looking for ways to improve it. If there are any other ways after the plug wires, let me know. About the wires: What brand, size, etc? Thanks.

Whats up I've got the same car 1991 Hatch 4 Speed Tranny d15a

Oil changed on time actually every 2500k I take real good care of it its my commuter.

But how do you get 315 miles out of your tank? I only get on avg. of 280-290 per full tank.

Any tips?
