Default MagnaFlow Exhaust

Hey all. This is my very first post here as I just recently acquired a '95 2door Accord EX (vtech) and it's in need of a new exhaust.

The car is stock but i've decided to start tinkering with it a little bit on the side. This is my first Honda of anytype. (My car hotrodding has been 100% in w/ '60s muscle cars).... so this is a first of "modern day" racers.

On to the question:
The exhaust I was digging was this MagnaFlow exhaust system. The car will eventually be turbo-ed (8-10psi) along with headers, CAI, etc..

http://proficientperformance.c...de=PP

Anyone see any reason i shouldn't go with this Exhaust System?

Again, Thanks for any advice in advance.

if you eventually want turbo then 2.25 pipe will not be large enough. i would suggest the greddy evo which has 60mm or 2.34 inch pipe or go custom and use 2.5 inch pipe.

I agree, 2.25 too small. go 2.5-3.0 depending on what you'll do w/ the turbo, I have had my magnaflow for a while. A little raspy at first, but when the turbo went on it got real quiet and low. nice.

Agreed. And you also dont want daul exhaust for a 4cylinder. Stick with single for better performance.. DUH

looks like it is for the 90-93 fourth generation accords, your 95ex is a fifth gen. Try to find the exhaust for the 94-97 accords. other than that i've heard some good things about the magnaflow exhausts, don't know about the dual though, i'd go with the single. welcome aboard!

IMO (in my opinion) the dual exhaust makes it look "ricey" I hope you are familiar with this term ....I have a 2.5" mandrel bent cat back with magnaflow muffler and it sounds really deep and low but from stock its decent power NTM (not to mention) its cheaper and quiet at cruising ~60mph ish. If you are planning on running turbo a 2.25 will be too small for the running FI plan for 2.5" of 3". And welcome to h-t

Yeah i accidentally linked it to the wrong picture... it's the same setup but for a 95 accord ex... my bad.

so 2.5 - 3.0 ... gotcha.

thanks for the input.

im running the dual magnaflows on my 6th gen v6 right now...sounds nice. I actually liked the 2.25, it prevented the loss of more low end torque, but thats probly only a problem with my car

welcome and yes if you ever plan to boost or even put some strong mods to the car, then go with a 2.5" system..

i have a feeling this will be done before you do turbo and at least the 2.5" wont kill you as bad as if you jumped in and went 3" right off the bat.

You can't do a turbo with "headers" and a CAI
