Default Possible Plea for some trailer (car transport) help

I'm running into a little dilemma here. I've found a daily driver candidate about 5hrs away from me. Non-running so figured I'd dolly/trailer it back up here.

First though, Uhaul... okie i cant tow it behind my hatch so I'll ask a friend for help. Friend has an explorer which is perfect for trailering a lightweight little civic.

Check with Uhaul, they don't allow rentals to Explorers now, due to a large number of outstanding and past lawsuits with them... so yeah.... tow option is hurting.

Is there anyone in the Chicago area that has a trailer they could loan/rent cheaply for a day trip? Or does anyone know of companies that rent dollies/trailers other than Uhaul?

If I can't figure out how to get this tow to happen, Im SOL

Almost forgot, if someone does have a trailer in chicago. I'll gladly give you money or something for a days use.

To close on a good note. If you have a Taylor Rental around, tow dollies are ~55 a day. I know i had them around in PA and found them to be around out here in Chicago. They have saved me

well, that was certainly fast..

you could've always rented a truck from uhaul and a trailer, or rented a truck/van from Enterprise and rented a trailer separately..

Heh, anyone else find the irony in picking up a non-running daily driver?

Yup, my dailyish driver is fine doing the duty though. So my goal was a clean car that can be put into duty with some wrench time. It fits the bill nicely.

Cheaper to buy a daily driver that isn't running then one that runs. hehe

Haha, I can only afford to buy my race cars running. Put your money where it counts

Another one won't hurt, right? Low budget build up until you calculate how much you spent

How can you call it a track car, when its spend most of its time in the sand trap at Gman
:couch: watch out for turn 3 :cough:

If I had a trailer and a truck I would be over this weekend to help out. I might be able to get you a trailer from a firend here in my area.

Where is the kaa located??
