A set comes through the classifieds every now and then. Other than that, I don't know.

Why? They look good i guess. I bought some skunk2 nuts because they're longer.

You can get cheaper alternatives at pep boys/autozone/etc too, if you want to save money - I sure there are "OE" open ended lug nuts with a tapered seat (i know most mazdas use that type).

Probably because he thinks they are overpriced?

They probably are, but in the end you usually get what you pay for. The skunk2 lugnuts werent exactly cheap either.

RJ - done buying cheap chit for his cars that will just get tossed in the trash later

well the only reason i stated this is because spoon usually makes oem parts with an extra 100$ behind the pricetag. i was just curious as to why he wnated them is all.

Open-ended = Old generation = Discontinued
Close-ended = New generation

Personally, having open ended nuts (don't go there!)

stick with closed if you can (or long closed ones over long studs)...even if it adds a tiny bit of weight. I'm constantly cleaning the stud threads on mine and re-anti seizing them. Something that didn't happen with the closed ones.

What colors are the old generation (discontinued) ones? Just blue?
