Default Question about test pipe

I'm about to buy a test pipe from this guy on H-T. I have a 95 gsr...and the pipe is from a ITR...it is 17.5" long and 2.5" inlet and outlet. I have a JDM dc 4-1 header goin into a complete n1 cat-back...will this test pipe fit?

Probably not unless you shorten the b-pipe a little.

Get under the car and measure the cat from flange to flange.

You're not calculating it. You're measuring it directly. You can't mess it up.

A buddy of mine has an Ls motor in his CRX. I know its a little different but he had to have alot trimmed off his testpipe (appx. 6inches). He has OBX-R cat-back with some cheap *** header.

If its not the right lenght cut an weld. Its soooo easy. You could make your own test pipe. All you need is a $25 2.5" header flange, $5 for 18" of 2.5" pipe from pep boys, and another flange that bolts to your exhaust. AND YOURE DONE...once you cut it to length and weld it together.

Uhhhh yeah. There is a certain flange you need to fit a 2.5" header collector. http://www.inlinefour.com charges $28, http://www.jhpusa.com sells it for $25. This is not a flange that just ANY place sells.

You can just get a universal 2.5" ID 4.75" bolt-spaced 2-bolt flange, slip it over the end, and then flare the end of the pipe.

It gets you the same seal on the donut gasket for just the cost of the labor and a $6 flange.

Buy an LS/ITR exhaust. Otherwise you need a 12" cat.

I've gotten the same flange before from inlinefour. It's a polished stainless piece that accepts the donut gasket, that's why it's so much.

http://www.inlinefour.com/25incolflan.html

You butt weld the 2.5" pipe to it.

I'm using one for a stainless race pipe. The mild steel race pipe I'm using for length tuning is gonna have a flared end and universal 2-bolt flange deal on it. Then it gets scrapped for other projects unless somebody buys it.

That's what I wrote.
