Default rsx base/ type s differences

Thinking about purchasing a rsx. Whats the differences between the base model and type s. I know power and the 6 spd is a big factor in the type s. Doesn't the base model rsx come with a 1.6 liter motor?

All type S models come with leather, type S has VTC and base doesn't... and oh yeah FORTY more horsepower... at the flywheel anyway. What are whp number for the base model?

The base model RSX has VTC. What it doesn't have is a 6spd transmission and VTEC on the exhaust side.

The base RSX does have VTC. The VTC is I=intelligent in the I-VTEC. The base only has V-TEC on the intake versus the Type-S intake and exhaust V-TEC. Both are 2.0 liters in displacement. The base has 5-speed and AUTO, Type S 6 speed only. boydy color pieces for the type S.

Strange how the gap between the two models is so much closer than it was between the DC2 GS-R and DC4 LS.
