springs: Part of the damper assembly, which absorbs some of the forces of bumps from the road. Sits on shock/strut. Spring rate is the measure of how much force the spring will have over a given distance i.e. 400 pounds per inch.
Coilovers: Same as above, with the exception that they are placed over a metal sleeve which has locking perches that can be adjusted up or down in order to lower or raise the ride height of the car.
Shocks("Shox"): Another component of the damper assembly. Basically they are gas filled tubes that, in conjunction with the spring, absorb uneven road surfaces, while maintaining tire contact with the ground.
