Ok Im pissed!!! Painted Side Skirts but wrong color?
K i got the NH 158 i think thats it i dono bu i got the right color and i had the guy mix the paint for me cause no places had my color. It costed me 19 bucks. I spent all day painting my side skirts. First i did a primer then sanded a little. I then did more than 5 coats of paint until i ran out. I then did like 20 passes of a clear coat and i was all excited it looked great.
I go and put it on and the color is a little bluish not white it looked white but its not the same color!!!! Omg what do u think i should do? Get a refund from the paint shop mixer guys? Order paint from the net or somthing?
I went to the acura dealer and asked for spray paint of my integra white and they said they only have touch up paint its a small *** container. Thats why i went to the paint mixer people. Acura even recommended them.
Anywas if you could help me ill post some pics tomarrow.

No, they prolly mixed the right color, it's just that the sideskirts are fresh, compared to a weathered paint on your car... To make them match, have them painted on the car and blended, or else you'll always be able to tell a difference...

My skde skirts were painted by a body shop and the paint looks a little different from the paint on my car but its not very noticable. My car is sliver, but i heard that white is really hard to match. good luck on getting it fixed.
I'm currently painting mine also. I got my primer/paint/clearcoat and sandpaper all from autozone for under $15. so far they look like they're coming out pretty good, hopefully the color matches right.
they have factory matching paints there, including my milano red. so hopefully everything goes well.

Many paint shops dont know how to color match well at all.
20 coats of clear on side skirts seems a bit excessive. That could alter the shade of the color as well.
Didnt you match the color swatch against the car before purchasing the paint?
I woudlnt blame them if you walked out the place without checking out the paint.

i will within the hour
I didnt really mean 20 coats of clear but i did about 4 passes from left to right 2 times each spray and i sprayed like 5-6 times with clear coat.

if the paint is not color matched, it will not look the exact same since your car's paint has faded a little with the everyday exposure to the sun. also, depending on if they used sherwin williams or dupont, makes a difference as well as far as thickness/darkness is concerned.
but don't worry, it'll fade to the same color as the rest of your car in time.

yeah, thats way off, it wont just match the car over time, the color isn't even right. if the old paint was an issue, then the side skirts would be REALLY BRIGHT white, but its not, its got the blue tint. go back and yell at them for giving u the wrong color
yours look pretty similar to mine. i thought mine didn't match but i think its just because the paint on the metal panels will look different compared to paint on plastic.

What year is your integra? I dont believe Integra ever have Nh158 as a stock color, It either come in taffeta white or Frost white? maybe you got the wrong code.
Ps: I painted my side skirt, and it come out pretty good match very well.

My friend, If your car is at it stock color, your color is taffeta white which is NH-578 in color code. Go to auto adnavce or whatever store, buy a primer, paint and clear cloar.
Wash it off until no sand or dirt is left. Then sit and sand with some 600 or 400 grit sandpaper. clean all the stuff off primer it, paint it, clear coat it.
