What can i do to get a lower E.T. ??
Hey whats up people? Just wanted some opinions.
I have an Ek with a 97 GSR motor and tranny with stock internals and clutch. All i have done is a Skunk2 intake manifold, DC sports JDM style Header, intake and exhaust, OBDII-OBDI conversion. 16" Mugen style rims.
I ran the car and ran a 14.44 at 94mph
60ft was 2.24
I want to know if anyone knows any tuning tricks to lower my E.T. alittle, im really trying to go really close to the high 13's so if anyone can help i would appreciate it. Tips like if i can bump my timing or just any tips that can help for Englishtown StreetWars! Thanx everyone!

Push your intake cam's timing forward 2 degrees and the exhaust cam 1. Get a better clutch and pressure plate. Get a fuel pressure regulator and better fuel pump.
And slicks, of course

Yeah what they have said so far. If you have the money, invest it in some slicks or drag radials.
According to you e.t it looks like your a decent driver so thats not an issue.
Work on traction and you be good to go. I don't know what else you could do to bump the power up a little (other then what they said already) so maybe lose some weight (gut it).

Yea i guess some nice drag radials and upgrade my fuel alittle, but what should i leave my ignition timing at if there should be any upgrading on that. And what should i put my fuel pressure at when i install the regulator and gauge?

if your on a budget gut it, diy ground kit, advance you timeing, hondata intake manifold gasket, thiner head gasket and maybe some 100 octa. or just spray it
but i would difiantly get a clutch.

It all depends on how much u have to spend. U could get some cams and cams gears, adjust the timings a little. Or u could get some higher compression pistons. or like everyone said ur some slicks to lower ur 60' a little bit more.

OOOOOOHHH...didn't look where he was from. I've got 94 down the street from my school here, so running a bit more timing isn't an issue at all. Maybe just 1 degree of advance on the intake cam should be great.

Fuel pump wont make a difference...cam gears, FPR, and some tuning.

better back suspension or the cheap way put a extra bump stop on the two backs drop the front lower if you got coilovers. so when u launch and the car sits back you dont lose as much traction since the back suspension travel is restricted
You want lower E.T's.... That can be done easily with mucho money...
If you don't want to spend a lot, then a couple of things can be done...
1. Index your sparkplugs
2. slicks
3. tranfer your battery to the trunck
4. underdrive pulleys
5. remove weight
6. remove weight
7. remove weight.

Lower your tire pressure and shoot for a 2.1 60 ft. That 1/10th off the line will equal 2/10ths through the traps. That will put you at 14.2 ish. Get your cams tuned and you could easily be in the 13s on street tires. Slicks will throw you in good.
