The only advantage is the torque potential which is brought about from the increase in stroke when compared to the ITR engine.
The ITR engine has a better rod/stroke ratio which allows higher revving, a counterbalanced crank which also allows higher revving, a mild port job for increased flow, nitride treated pistons for better heat resistance, oil squirters in the pistons for superior cooling, Stronger valvesprings and lighter exhaust valves for valvetrain durability, a better manifold for better flow, and one hell of a transmission. The list goes on, but I'll stop here.
